このたび、ストックホルム発のジュエリーブランド「All Blues」が10 周年を記念して制作した、「1」と「0」をグラフィカルに解釈したジュエリーコレクションを発売いたします。

ネックレス、ブレスレット、ピアス、イヤーカフの16点から構成されるコレクションはすべて、リサイクルされたスターリングシルバー及び18カラットのゴールドヴェルメイユが用いられ、熟練の職人達により手作業で一点ずつ制作されています。

また、本コレクションのために、スペイン人フォトグラファーのSuffo Moncloa(スフォ・モンクロア) が、BIOTOP の由来である「自然」をテーマに撮影を行い、それらを「1」と「0」の形に切り取ったビジュアルも制作しました。

BIOTOP3店舗にて、アニバーサリーコレクションの展開に合わせて、All Bluesの新作や定番アイテムまで、幅広く展開しております。

今回、ブランドのファウンダーでありデザイナーのJacob Skragge(ジェイコブ・スカラッゲ) 氏に、この特別なお取り組みについて、5つの質問に答えていただきました。

1.ブランドヒストリーについて教えて下さい。

All Blues™はストックホルムをベースにしたコンテンポラリージュエリーブランドで、モダンラグジュアリージュエリーブランドの従来のあり方に挑戦することを目的としています。また、その過程で、過剰な消費と廃棄物を減らしていくことも目指しています。製品はすべて、地元で三世代続く金細工のスタジオで、リサイクルされた良質の金属を使って手作業で作られています。

1.Brand history
All Blues™ is a Stockholm based contemporary jewelry brand that aims to challenge the conventions of what a modern luxury jewelry brand could become. Also, along the way, aspiring to take a stand on slowing down excess consumerism and waste. Every product is handcrafted locally in a third-generation goldsmith studio, from recycled fine metals.

2.BIOTOPのお取組みについて
今回お互いのブランドが10周年ということもあり記念すべきanniversaryのアイテム制作にあたり思いをお聞かせください。

私たちが今年それぞれの10周年を祝うのは素晴らしい偶然だと思います。
BIOTOPは、約4年前に日本でAll Bluesを発売した最初のお店だったので、よりスペシャルなことに感じます。BIOTOPと一緒に仕事ができることを光栄に思っているし、サポートにも感謝しています。皆さんはいつもとても謙虚で親切で、その上、クラフトやデザインに関してもとても繊細で素晴らしいテイストを持っていらっしゃいます。私たちにとっては、とにかく時が経つのが早くて、もう10年もやってきたのかと思うと、本当に信じられません。自分の信念に挑戦し、進化させることができたことを嬉しく思います。何より古めかしい産業を進化させるということだけではなく、この10年という長い旅の中で、個人的な進化に挑戦するためのプラットフォームなんだ、という最初に信じた気持ちを持ち続けてくることができよかったと感じています。

2.BIOTOP collaboration,
This time, as both brands are celebrating their 10th anniversary What are your thoughts on the anniversary?
It’s a beautiful coincidence that we are both celebrating our respective ten year anniversaries this year. Furthermore, when we launched All Blues in Japan some four years ago, BIOTOP was our first stockiest. This makes it even more special to me. I’m thankful and honored to work with BIOTOP and to have their support – everyone always being so humble and kind, and on top of that having the most meticulous and exquisite taste in craft and design.
For us, time has gone really, really fast. It’s almost mind blowing that we’ve been doing this now for ten years. I’m glad that we’ve been able to evolve and challenge our own beliefs and most of all holding on to our initial thoughts of seeing this as a platform to not only push to evolve an old and dusty industry, as well as trying to evolve personally during the journey.

3.BIOTOP別注アイテムで特にでお気に入り、おすすめはありますか？

コレクションの中で、私個人のお気に入りは、完全カスタムでハンドメイドされたシリンダーネックレスです。とてもシンプルでありながらも、上品で表情豊かなボディという2つのバランスが良く取れた商品です

3.What is your favorite piece of BIOTOP’s anniversary collection?
In the collection we have made, I think my personal favorite is the cylinder necklace, as it is completely custom and handmade – as a product, it has that fine dual balance of being so simple as an object, yet feeling refined and expressive on the body.

4.着用アドバイスなどがありましたら教えて下さい。

日々の生活の中に溶け込むジュエリーだと思って欲しいです。All Bluesのジュエリーは、その人の気分を高めたり、スタイリングを華やかにするべきものだと私たちは思っています。注目を独り占めするのということではなく、元々あるものに1つ要素を加えるということです。個人的には、一度にたくさん着けるよりも、強いデザインのジュエリーを少しだけ着けるのが好きです。「より少なく、より良く」みたいな感じですね。また、絶対に着けなきゃいけない、というものでもありません。ジュエリーを着けることは個人的なことですから、洋服を着るのと同じように、強制されるものではなく、自分が心地良いと思えるものであるべきです。

4.Wearing advice, etc.
We hope people see our products as everyday jewelry. For us, they should elevate your mood and overall look. It’s not really about taking over or stealing the show, rather adding an element to the equation. Personally, I prefer one or a few strong pieces of jewelry instead of wearing too much at the same time – less but better, kind of. I also think one should not rush the idea of jewelry, it’s personal experience and just as all clothing probably it should feel right and not forced.
